Verified Tutors

In order for tutors to be listed on TutorTap, they are asked to provide us with a copy of their passport or UK drivers license and verify their email address.

To be listed as a verified tutor, (identified by the following badge attached to their profile) tutors must undergo an extra layer of verification. This includes:

• An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (Enhanced DBS) (formerly CRB):
• A minimum of two references from previous clients or relevant referees;
• Education & qualification checks (e.g. degree certificate, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) etc)
• Interview with the TutorTap team

Students can book a tutor that has not been verified by us, but we advise you to carry out your own checks before your first lesson to ensure that you are completely comfortable.
