I believe that the best way to learn is to be guided towards the corrects answers but the teaching focus should be on problem solving and correcting errors to give students a better knowledge than is needed, as learning is understanding and not just remembering how to do questions.
I am currently a student at Cardiff university studying Economics, getting a first in my first year. I got an A* in my maths GCSE and A-Levels, and self taught myself Further maths also.
