Tutoring approach
I take an relaxed, encouraging and supportive approach, tailoring my teaching to the individual requirements of the student. This means understanding the student to determine the way in which they engage and learn most effectively. Sessions are always individually designed, interactive and paced to suit the learner.
I am thoroughly familiar with the requirements of English GCSE Higher and Foundation as assessed by Edexcel, AQA and WJEC. The creative aspects of English Language are what I love to teach most!
Professional experience
I have seven years experience working as a part-time tutor on the BA(Hons) Visual Communications programme and three years running creative short courses at Nottingham Trent University. I am also an English Tutor with an academy school where I work with Year 10 and 11 pupils of various attainment levels to raise their grades and prepare them for success in GCSE.
I have Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status and hold a current DBS certificate.

You will meet your tutor in our online classroom, where you will see each other via video, hear each other and be able to upload documents and draw on a whiteboard.
