The one common factor I have found with all my students, regardless of ability, is that everyone is able to learn; the important factor is finding out how they learn. I am very good at getting to know my students, understanding their approach to learning, identifying the obstacles/difficulties they are facing and explaining the subject to them in a manner appropriate to the students own learning style.
I am a results orientated self starter with highly developed skills in teaching and tutoring. I am confident, lively and thoroughly enjoy working with people of all ages and literally seeing the 'penny drop'.

I set up and tutored at the Institute of Learning and Mentoring for 5 years; working with students from year 7 to A-Levels. I was responsible for centre management and tuition in English, Maths, and Science. I have tutored a wide range of students, with a vast array of abilities and levels of achievement.
I have experience working with the curriculums of all 4 educational boards in the three core subjects at GCSE and Chemistry and Biology at A-Level. My tuition sessions were conducted in different formats, online, one to one and group based.
Over the last 2-3 years I have seen the first cohort of young people I tutored graduate from University. This September a student that had come to me having failed his first year at college has begun reading for his PhD. This has spurred me to return to tutoring.
