Tutoring approach
My tutoring approach differs between each student that I take on to meet their individual needs. Generally the most important thing is to instil a sense of confidence in the work that a student is doing, from here specifically tailored lessons allow for rapid progress in specific areas of knowledge that have been targeted. As far as possible I try to teach in a manor that allows work to be both enjoyable and fun.
Professional experience
I have previous experience of tutoring both Maths and History in a variety of ages up to 16.
I have taught AS level History and Philosophy and Ethics on a 1-2-1 basis.
I have helped to run a booster class for GCSE maths students which means I am ideally suited to help with those working towards GCSE maths or Standard Grade Mathematics.
I have worked in the classroom environment as a learning support officers, which makes me particularly suited to tutoring children with special educational needs (especially ADHD ASD and dyslexia).
