Tutoring approach
Everyone is different in the way we learn. Unfortunately, very few schools have a curriculum that can address every students needs. Patience and time is needed to help young individuals adapt and learn adequately rather than being spoon fed information. As part of my tuition I aim to inspire and promote self education and assist young people in their confidence to answer questions correctly. There is no such thing as a stupid question, questions only help to better your understanding of your subject area. I am happy to provide advice regarding job and University applications as well as approaching exam questions.
Professional experience
As part of my A level work I was a GCSE mentor and a Prefect for a set of students between the years of 7 to 11. In addition to assisting students with their education I have also been involved in Trampoline coaching for a group of approximately 30 young students which has given me an understanding of how to ensure students safety and an appreciation of their eagerness to learn. I specialise in biology and chemistry, with a broad range of GCSE skills also. My A levels consisted of biology, chemistry, psychology and art. Recently, I have graduated with a 2:1 in Bio-veterinary science which has given me first hand lab experience and an understanding of multiple biological mechanisms and an insight into the current research which is happening now. Currently, I am undertaking a Masters which involves the investigation into Alzheimer's disease.
