Tutoring approach
I am very passionate about music, history, and music related subjects and will strive to get the very best out of my students.
My objective is to study in-depth all of the learning objectives set by the student's school teacher, as well as working through past exam papers. In addition, I will supply the student with my own notes and aim to provide them with additional tasks over and above their school homework in order to enhance their understanding of the subject. Finally I will cover the command words set out by the SQA in order to help the student understand different approaches to answering questions.
I appreciate that each student has their own needs and methods of learning, and I will take this into account in my teaching approach. During my school and university studies, I have found that an interactive approach to learning helps the student enjoy the subject and generates the best results.
Professional experience
I am currently undertaking a Bachelors in Music (BMus) in Finance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Over the last year I have advised and offered guidance and support to primary and secondary year students, and am in the process of writing guides for vocal technique preparations.
