Tutoring approach
I feel it is most effective to quickly identify problems a student may have (eg. particular types of exam style questions or topics) and try to build a stronger understanding through explanations and practice. For example, a student may be having difficulty with a question, so I could go through all the working with them, explaining each step, then give them a similar question to see if they are capable of going through it themselves.
Professional experience
I'm a young student about to start first year in BEng Aeronautical Engineering. I currently have A grades in Physics at SQA Intermediate 2, Higher & Advanced Higher levels. I took part in a 'Peer Assisted Learning' scheme last year at my school where I helped tutor National 5 Maths in my spare time.
