Facilitator of learning, students need to understand and be able to apply key terms. Exam focus on the words used in exam questions and the expectation of the answers to maximise marks.
I would consider myself to be a good communicator and focused on getting the best from my students. I will always focus on the areas of greatest need and develop action plans with the learner to support the individual areas of need, these are then regularly reviewed and updated. This I have found in the past allows the student to focus on what needs to be done rather than going over work that is already sufficient. Therefore making advancement in the area of study and success in exams.
Professional experience
Currently teaching in a secondary school psychology & health A level. I have previously delivered and written course materials for both OCR and BTEC Health programmes. Moderating for OCR in June 2014.
I have worked in both the FE, private and Secondary sector working with 14-18 yr olds through to adult learners. I have also worked with NVQ's to both the old and new QCF framework both through virtual and face to face delivery and support. Tutored students through Access courses into university.
