Tutoring approach

My lessons are informal and tailored to each students needs and abilities. I make time for students to ask and answer questions, really understand the material, and get plenty of tips and practice to master their exam technique. I hope to inspire my pupils to continue to study science to GCSE, A-level or beyond, and to enjoy their studies as much as I did.

 

Professional experience

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc. (Hons) in Neuroscience (2.1) in July 2013. Since then, I have tutored over 10 students from 11+ to degree level. This has given me excellent knowledge of various school systems and all the major exam boards. Prior to this, I have worked as an assistant ballet and tap teacher for three years (part time). This involved teaching up to 20 students in a class of ages between three and 14. I am a natural teacher and communicator, which I believe is as important as the vast knowledge I have gained in my own education.
