Tutoring approach
I have experience teaching pupils of all abilities. My approach in the past has consisted of offering a trial lesson in order to gauge each individual tutee's needs and ability, and planning subsequent lessons in order to cater to their individual needs. This has worked successfully in the past, with my tutees going on to meet their required grades.
In addition to tutoring students in preparation for exams, I have also tutored adult students simply wanting to learn a language. This informal approach, as well as a formal approach towards meeting exam syllabus requirements, is also something I am experienced in.
Professional experience
Over the last 5 years, I have been tutoring German on a freelance basis. I also have experience in tutoring Russian. My degree, a First Class BA (Hons) in German and Russian, has given me the necessary expertise to offer excellent tuition at all levels from GCSE to undergraduate.
I am also experienced in giving piano lessons for pupils between ABRSM Grades 5-8 (or equivalent).
