I have a first-class honours degree in philosophy. Recently, I was invited to give a paper at a philosophy conference in Reading, and two of my papers are due for publication in the coming months. In my time at university I edited an undergraduate philosophy journal and taught philosophy at local schools to A-Level students. Since then I have been teaching all ages.
I am a very competent teacher, and have helped my students with exam technique, comprehension, essay writing and how to think philosophically.
So, tell me what you need to learn about! My job is to make the material accessible and engaging. Teaching is a two-way process, so, if you're willing to work hard too, I guarantee you'll see improvements.
Professional experience
I've been teaching for three years. My students have varied in age from 8 to 65! I'm a passionate geek, and it's a pleasure for me to share what I know.
Most of the time I teach philosophy (all areas), but I also teach history and English literature. I also do a little work teaching English to non-native speakers.
Usually, I charge £30 p/h for tuition. But as I'm new to the site and I'm looking to build up some positive reviews, I am currently offering lessons at 25% off! So £22.50 p/h!
