Tutoring approach

I enjoy supporting students to fulfil their potential and achieve an understanding of their subjects, rather than simply memorising material. I am patience and flexible in my approach to tutoring.

 

Professional experience

I am currently a GCSE Science tutor for The Tutor Trust charity. I have experience in mentoring secondary school aged dyslexic children and in working as a special needs teaching assistant for year 5 pupils in a mainstream school.

I have studied Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at A-level and I am familiar with the curriculum content.

My previous honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from Queen Mary, University of London has provided me with knowledge in Biology & Chemistry.

I am currently studying Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Manchester and this provides me with my knowledge of Psychology. Additionally, I currently work as a support worker for children with Autism, including children with Asperger's.
