Tutoring approach

Currently studying English at Russell Group university, Queen Mary, University of London, where I am specialising in theory and literary criticism, but have also done much work on medieval literature, poetry, narrative technique and Shakespeare. I have three A-levels in English (A), History (B) and Music (C), and I also have 11 GCSEs, 4 A*s and 7 As. I have played both piano and flute for thirteen years and have qualifications in both Grade 5 piano and Grade 7 flute. I have also played first flute in a number of orchestras.

I am available to tutor ages 12-16 in English, in which I specialise in analysis, close-reading and placing texts in their wider socio-political contexts. I am also available to tutor Music at a primary school level for both theory and teaching flute and piano, although I will consider tutoring older students.

 

Professional experience

I spent this summer volunteering, teaching year 3 students to play the recorder.
