Student centred - by this I mean that I start from where the student is at and build on their learning incrementally. I would need to see examples of their written work to know which areas need focus. I am positive and encouraging and would help the student maximise their potential in English.
Professional experience
Most recently personal tutor at Worthing College for 3 years doing mainly 121 work with 16-19 year olds helping them to organise their learning and engage more effectively; prior to that sixth form English teacher at BHASVIC for 4 years and before that sixth form English teacher at Reigate College for 5 years. I am currently studying on a creative writing course so am also well placed to help students with this element of their course.
