I am passionate about the subjects I teach and like to think that my enthusiasm rubs off on my tutees. My aim is to help people both short-term and long-term, so I always strive to teach method as well as knowledge; I want my tutees to learn HOW to use information, as well as the information itself.
I recently completed my MSc with the University of Edinburgh in History and History of Art. I also have a first-class joint-honours undergraduate MA in the same subjects. I am now a PhD applicant, and expect to start my doctoral studies in 2015.
I specialise in European history and art history, and have a particular interest in the Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Modern periods. That said, I have also studied and advised on a wide range of historical and art-historical topics throughout the course of my degrees: from ancient to contemporary art and history.
I tutor undergraduates primarily, but welcome enquiries from students at all levels of study, from GCSE and Higher upwards. I can offer both general support and more specific advice on exam preparation, homework, projects, essays, and presentations. I also can also proofread and edit assignments on request.
I welcome enquiries from students at all levels of study, from GCSE and Higher through to undergraduate. I can offer advice on exam preparation, homework, projects, essays, presentations, or more generally.
