I am working in Oxford as a part-time teacher of Biology at Magdalen College School, an independent secondary school, from September 2014, and I would like to offer tutoring in my spare time. I have a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, and would like to pass on my enthusiasm for the subject. I have tutoring experience with GCSE students at a state grammar school, and I was able to help the girls who I tutored to improve their marks by two grade boundaries. I have undergone a DBS check for both of my roles mentioned above. My style is friendly and encouraging, and I like to help the students to self-assess in order for us to work out the best way to proceed with the work together. I have an A* A-level in English literature, and would be happy to tutor students in English too. I have a level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS).
