Tutoring approach
My approach to tutoring will be engaging, challenging and above all I will strive to create an environment which makes the tutee want to push him/herself. The result will be that the tutee will enjoy doing learning and the progress and benefits will start to become apparent. It was through this style of teaching/ tutoring that I found my strengths in academia and ultimately successes, therefore I wish to pass this confidence in learning on.
Professional experience
I am currently in my third year studying for my PhD in neuroscience, studying spinal cord injury and possible therapies for repair. I have a 2:1 in my honours degree in Biomedical Science (physiology). I have spent considerable amounts of time helping undergraduates with theses and dissertations and essays spanning various disciplines including but not exclusively - Zoology, Marine Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Physiology, Sports science and Management.
