Tutoring approach

I completed 6 hours of supervised teaching practice on the intensive Cambridge ESOL level 5 course (CELTA). The course has taught me to teach the principles of effective teaching and to provide a range of practical skills to adult learners in beginner/intermediate classes. I plan, prepare and deliver lessons for two groups - beginner and intermediate classes. Lessons are prepared and adapted from teaching materials (Cutting Edge by Sarah Cunningham being one of them) which are appropriate to the course and relevant to the students. I have participated in a range of extracurricular activities. This included becoming a sports dance leader representative which allowed me to take responsibility of teaching my own choreographed dance moves to younger students. It also provided experience in planning and structuring activities that motivated students.
