I believe that students shall understand the logic behind processes rather than computing processes which are taught to them. To do this I will set a variety of engaging problems to challenge their thinking and to allow them to see the logical steps to take rather than to be told the solution.
I believe this to be a much more effective style as it will develop their confidence in Mathematics. Confidence is a big thing in Mathematics as students will learn that they will have to make mistakes in order to progress.
Once students have confidence in their abilities they will then see their problem solving skills grow as my technique of giving engages problems will develop their intuition.

My degree in Mathematics gives me great understanding in numeracy and logic. The extent of my studies means that I can offer advice and guide students into developing qualities which will enable them to succeed.
