Tutoring approach

I like to get the students to think about things themselves first, before explaining the best approach to take. I also often ask questions to ensure they have understood the material. I appreciate that students have a wide range of learning styles and I try my best to adapt my teaching to their learning styles, be it visual, auditory or in a written format. I am very encouraging when students have grasped concepts to keep their morale high and allow them to maintain a good focus.

 

Professional experience

I've tutored students in Chemistry, Biology and Spanish up to A-level.
I have worked at a mentoring academy for two years on a weekly basis, where I taught GCSE students English and Maths.
