I have tutored a 12 year-old boy, and our tutorials were always very friendly and favored conversation in Portuguese while learning grammar and reading and analyzing texts. As well as teaching the language I also try to teach the Culture and History of Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries. I believe that only through this type of approach can a student feel comfortable enough to raise questions and give opinions about the subject(s) being discussed.
