As I mentioned above, one of the characteristics of my approach to teaching is flexibility, while at the same time keeping in mind that the student must be held accountable and helped to learn (semi-)independently, so as to not delay results unnecessarily; few people want to look back and see that they have made almost no progress since they started, after all!
Professional experience
I have a few lessons' experience from last summer; not more because on the student's personal circumstances, unrelated to the lessons' quality. This has helped me improve the quality of my lessons immensely, and thus my future students will benefit from high quality lesson plans, personalised teaching, and a flexible approach to tutoring which also keeps in mind their final objective.
Apart from that, I work part-time hours as a waitress while studying Linguistics at the University of York. This has helped me enormously, by offering me the opportunity to become more organised and sympathetic towards other peoples' difficulties and empathise with them.
