Competition for places at medical school is at an all-time high so you want to make sure you are as prepared as you possibly can be for every stage of the process. I will take you through each stage of the application process - from choosing a medical school, through the aptitude tests and the writing of a stand-out personal statement to preparation for interviews - to make sure you maximise your chances of securing a place at medical school.
For Biology and Chemistry:
In science understanding the core principles of a topic is absolutely key. Once a thorough groundwork has been established I will use different methods (diagrams, thought experiments, analogies, exam questions) to encourage you to apply the basic science you have learnt which is how you know you have truly understood something! I will also strive to help you to develop a critical and efficient exam technique which is a really easy way to dramatically improve performance both in your exams and in any university interviews.
Professional experience
I am a tutor for Applican, an organisation which runs weekend courses for applicants to UK medical schools. This requires an extensive understanding of what makes an attractive candidate for different medical schools and provides me with large amounts of information to help you maximise your chances of securing a place at medical school!
I am a tutor in medical school applications, Biology and Chemistry for multiple tutoring organisations.
I am the current academic welfare rep for Oxford MedSoc which means that I am a supportive contact for all 450 Oxford medical undergraduates. As part of this role I have set up a peer tuition scheme in which younger students can request tuition on topics that they find difficult from a group of older student tutors. I am currently the organiser and chief tutor for this scheme.

You will meet your tutor in our online classroom, where you will see each other via video, hear each other and be able to upload documents and draw on a whiteboard.
