Tutoring approach

Whilst volunteering at a primary school, I was commended for my ability to combine my wide subject knowledge with a genuine passion and enthusiasm to help the children. I always make it my priority to cater to each individual child's needs, so that they can learn effectively whilst enjoying themselves as much as possible at the same time. I am still very familiar with the GCSE content as I have younger family members that are at this level, that I have helped before and continue to do so, which means I already have a good understanding of how to teach this material.

 

Professional experience

I am currently an undergraduate student at Lancaster University studying Economics and Mathematics, projected to get a minimum of a 2:1 upon completion. I have previously achieved AAB at A Level including A in Maths and B in Further Maths, as well as 5 A* and 7 A at GCSE including an A* in Maths and A in Statistics, so I have a very strong mathematical background. I have previously volunteered for six months in a primary school as teaching support staff working with a whole range of year groups, so would love the opportunity to apply my talents and passion to a tutoring position.
