Tutoring approach

I take a holistic approach to help people achieve their ambitions and believe that this is the key to success. My approach is friendly and informal; however I remain results driven and set work outside of our sessions in order to ensure progress. I also like to get regular feedback from the student and ensure that they are getting as much as possible out of the time we have.

 

Professional experience

I am a former national athlete, philosophy student and the founder of TutorTap.

I also currently work in the Office of the Chief Executive at Barclays Private Banking and Investment Management.
Whilst at university, I discovered my passion for mentoring and helping students prepare for life after education. I spent a lot of time coaching younger students in CV building, interview preparation and application advice.

As a result of my work with TutorTap, I have built a large internal network of professionals from all different backgrounds, so enjoy connecting my students with people from business areas they show interest in. I focus primarily on finance and entrepreneurship, but can also work with students interested in other areas ensure that they are on the right path to succeed.

I am also a former national athlete, having achieved a highest ranking of fourth in my age-group for pole vault. I trained with the national decathlon coach for four years and also have a coaching badge, which has allowed me to build up a great knowledge of how to succeed in sport. I would therefore love to help athletes of any standard improve their training programmes, gym technique and event-specific technique in track and field.
