I am a 25 year old graduate from Cardiff University with a 2:1 BA Honours in Journalism, Film and Media. I have spent much of my life working in hospitality and have previously spent 4 months working in Austria, at a family run hotel, during both the winter and summer season. Most recently I have spent 3 months living and working in Jakarta.
Whilst in Indonesia, I planned and taught English lessons. Classes varied in size, ability and age. A course and guidelines were followed, but it was important for lessons to be tailored for students to aid in their learning; this included incorporating cultural and social relevance into the classroom, as well as real life experiences and interests. I have also taught English to an Indian pupil via Skype on a voluntary basis, and have undertaken a 150 hour TEFL course.
In my free time I enjoy sport and travelling. I was fortunate enough to explore Jakarta and its surrounding areas, and have also travelled across Europe. I've visited a number of cities and countries around the world, and enjoy exploring and experiencing different cultures.
