I have tutored a GCSE year 11 student in Biology and Chemistry for the past year, getting her up to her target grade and then surpassing it. I have A levels in Chemistry (A*) and Biology (A*), so I could tutor GCSE and A level Chemistry and Biology. My style is quite interactive, I tend to make worksheets, crosswords, interactive exercises for my students so that keywords are reiterated without becoming monotonous. A teaching session is typically a starter activity, going through a particular topic verbally, and with a paper exercise (mind map, diagram, keywords map etc.) followed by a past paper question at the end to check that knowledge has been attained. Exam technique is something I like to integrate into sessions with past papers and focusing on how to best answer long and short answer questions.
