I am an A2 sixth form student with a strong academic ability: I am predicted to obtain A in Biology, A in Physics, A* Mathematics and B in Further Mathematics (I am self-teaching Further Mathematics).I will hopefully be studying Physics at UCL from September 2014.
I am a reliable, committed individual who always strives to help others achieve their full potential.
I have been doing Jujitsu for nine years and achieved my black belt last year. In my jujitsu club, I assist the sensei in coaching younger students aged between 3 and 13 years old. This has enabled me to develop strong communication and interpersonal skills and has given me experience in working with a range of different students, making me an ideal tutor.
For the past 8 years I have competed in the UK Annual National Jikishin Jujitsu Championships, winning many medals every year. This shows that I am a committed individual that will help every student to be successful.
In July 2013, I took part in a week-long work experience placement at CERN, Switzerland, which I independently organised.
In 2011, I was one of the ten national winners of the UK Cosmic Futures competition, in which my winning entry was an article of the UK Space Agency`s Cryosat mission. As part of the prize, I attended the magazine launch at the Houses of Parliament for the children`s science magazine the other winners and I later wrote.
I therefore possess a very strong academic ability so will confidently and accurately help students to achieve an in-depth knowledge of their subjects.
