I consider myself a person that has a positive, bubbly attitude. I can get along with almost anyone! It is essential that my students are committed as much as I am to their development.
After establishing expectations of myself and my students it is exceptionally important to me that my sessions have clear objectives, interactive elements and have a logical sequence. Continual assessment and reviewing of targets is crucial to a successful learning atmosphere.
I currently live in Newport, with easy access to the train station. If I can get to you via public transport, then I have no issue with how far you may be.
Professional experience
I am currently a GCSE English lecturer within Coleg Gwent. I also deliver Essential Skills predominantly literacy, but also numeracy and digital literacy. I undertake a range of professional a career development opportunities for example, Colegau Cymru`s essential skills training. Similarly, I have taken part in developing the teaching and learning handbook for skills in Coleg Gwent. I am also knowledgeable of WJEC English Language standards and marking scheme.
I was selected to spend two years abroad in South Korea as an English teacher, graduating with a TEFL certification and a certificate of completion from the rigorous EPIK training program.
I graduated from Aberystwyth University with a degree in Fine Art, with specialisation in photography (both film and digital) although, I am deeply knowledgeable about many other techniques and methods in fine art, such as: printmaking, painting, life drawing, digital image manipulation.
