I try and make anything I say relatable to the student. For example, for younger students, areas of shapes can be seen as areas of cages for their favourite animals in an imaginary zoo. I also include regular checks that previous material has been grasped to seek areas that need repeating and to mix up the topic order.
I have had a part time job as a Mathematics teaching assistant and PA to the head of the Mathematics department at the No1 Russian Education Centre, for 1 year. This has included private tutoring in Mathematics.
