Tutoring approach
My tutoring approach would mostly depend on the individual needs of my students but I would hope to spend as much time talking in French and Spanish as possible! If you need particular help with reading, writing or exam techniques I would try to use magazine or newspaper articles and games to hopefully help you feel more confident and eventually go through past exam papers with you if you would like the practice. If you are hoping for help with speaking and listening I can go through a particular exam format if you feel this will help (e.g. role plays, thematic questions for GCSE and oral presentations and questions for A level) or I am also happy to just have a chat in French or Spanish if you would like the practice!
Professional experience
I have worked in a teaching or tutoring capacity in both France and England. I have a first class degree in French and Spanish and during my year abroad I taught English in a primary school in France, where I both assisted the teacher and taught classes myself on different occasions. I also have worked as a foreign language assistant in a secondary school in the UK, giving GCSE students support in the run-up to their exams and mentoring both GCSE and A level students on a one-to-one basis.
