Tutoring approach
Help student to understand the subject by making it interesting and engaging. Start off by knowing the level of the student in the subject so that student will not be put off by the things they do not know. Encourage student to ask as many questions as they want as this is how they will learn - not available in schools where class sizes are large and not be embarrassed by what they ask. Happy to work according to the student's pace and make sure they learn and understand what is being taught.
There are two parts to my teachings:
Understanding the subject - Students will have to be interested in the subjects and I am able to phrase it in the most interesting way to engage the student for learning.
Exam techniques - Tips for exams such as writing efficient notes, having the right mind as well as time management.
Last but not least, I am willing to listen to any problems students might have that could be affecting their grades and I will be more than happy to give my experienced advice to them.
Professional experience
Being a fresh graduate from college allows me to have a clear idea of exam styles and understand the struggles of students towards the subject. Very experienced in teaching peers and able to analyse exam styles to ensure efficient revision.
