Tutoring approach
Having worked in hospitality for a number of years, I have a very friendly approach to all of my work, but I am also committed to providing the highest quality possible services. I understand the different manners in which different people learn, and shall be highly adaptable to the individual needs and wants of those being tutored. I am not just to improve knowledge and understanding of the topic at hand, but to also engage the pupil positively and encourage an enjoyment of the subject, such as I myself experience.
Professional experience
Although I do not have any formal tutoring experience, I have worked with children and teenagers in a number of capacities, including teaching canoeing and kayaking at a summer camp in the USA. I also have a broad range of experience in a number of other areas, namely in journalism and communications. During my degree at the University of Edinburgh, I also studied abroad at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, for one year. I am frequently involved in proof reading and editing the writing of a number of non-native English speaking friends and thoroughly enjoy doing this.
