What I do is to re - create, as closely as possible, the same learning experience as that provided by face - to - face tuition.
With my current online students (GCSE Maths) I find it easy and quick to develop the same working relationship with parent and student - as I do in face - to - face tuition.
Before the first tuition session I like to have a preliminary meeting with student / parent to discuss
(i) my qualifications, my CRB / DBS ; my teaching experience.
(i) what the student is having trouble with.
(ii) what resources the student has.
(iii) what strategies we can use in the actual lesson.
In tuition sessions - you may need help with homework, coursework guidance, specific topics, revision strategies, or exam technique and practice at past exam papers, etc. . . my help is available, and you and parents WILL see improvement = decreased stress, less worry and anxiety, increasing confidence with the subject.

Professional experience
I've been a secondary school teacher and tutor of both Maths and Physics for 25 + years.
For most of that time I have been a secondary Head of Physics Department.
I have taught students across the full ability range, helping students with moderate learning difficulties as well as those aiming to achieve grades A* in GCSE or grade A at A - Level. All of my advanced students have gone on to University, some to medical school and successful Oxford or Cambridge entrance.
My experience as an examiner has enabled me to guide my students more effectively in preparation for GCSE and A - Level exams.
