Working 1:1 with students is the ideal learning environment, as I recognise that all students work at different paces and have different learning styles. I also understand that all students are aspirational, and have the ability to reach their full potential, if they have the right sympathetic support.
Professional experience
I have enjoyed working in an academic environment for 16 years, and have a wealth of experience teaching English at all levels, and Media at GCSE, AS and A2. I was the Head of Media Studies and had a great insight into the demands of the coursework and exams, and am also currently an examiner for AQA and CIR. My role as Coordinator of Sixth Form Courses means that I have experience of teaching and managing the Extended Project, entry for the Baccalaureate, General Studies preparation and Progression Module. In addition, I can offer University and job interview practice.
