I am a full-time private tutor. My enthusiasm for teaching reflects how empowering learning is for individuals and society at large. I obtained a BA in English and Linguistics at York and have subsequently been awarded an MA and a doctorate for my research on English in the brain. I have taught different English Language and English Literature courses to a range of GCSE, A-level and undergraduate students, including remedial and advanced levels. I have also provided booster training in literacy and numeracy for primary school students. My approach focuses on inspiring a passion for the importance of academic disciplines alongside training in exam and coursework skills.
Professional experience
I have taught different English Language and Literature courses for GCSE, A-level and undergraduate students; and literacy and numeracy training for primary school children. The students I have worked with include remedial and advanced students, and I have prepared many non-native speakers of English for taking IELTS and other English proficiency exams. Altogether I have about 5 years of teaching experience.
