I believe my academic abilities are only part of the reason why I will be able to help you. My personal
skills will also allow me to create a relationship with students under my care, which will, in turn, help you with your studies, as a personal link is proven to also be a key part of learning. My work as a volunteer and my extra-curricular activities have enabled me to develop and improve my
inter-personal competency, my leadership abilities and my team working skills. I am extremely adept at public speaking and meeting new people, so will have no problem tutoring those who need help.
Professional experience
I believe I am the right tutor for you because of my experiences during and outside of my education. I have had the top grades throughout my life, which can be showcased by my GCSE and IB results, so I will strive to help you to achieve your aims. Having achieved an A* in my Maths, English Literature and English Language GCSEs and a 7 (A* equivalent) in my IB Maths Studies and a 6 (A equivalent) in my IB Higher English will allow me to help those who are
struggling with their English and Maths skills. Moreover, during my time in education, I have sharpened and continued to improve my study, organisation and time-keeping skills, so will endeavour to impart advice to you, as I believe study skills help achieve good grades as much as, if not more so, than academic learning. I have recently completed my first year of my Law degree at the University of Cambridge, and received a 2:1, and am aiming for a 1st by the end of my degree. I also worked with children last summer as an Assistant Welfare Officer, showcasing my ability to connect with children, as well as my ability to teach them. Moreover, during summer 2013, I was able to volunteer in India and teach Maths and English to children from the ages of 3-18, giving me the opportunity to refine my tutoring skills.
