In 2013 I graduated from the university of Cambridge with a 2.1 in History and I am currently enjoying a year out of studying before starting on the graduate scheme Teach First in September, where I will be teaching Mathematics in a challenging school. I acheived 2 As and an A* at Alevel in History, Maths and Biology.
Since University, I have spent 6 months working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary school, working primarily with children with special educational needs. I also spent 6 weeks interning in the communications team of a large charity and 3 months aupairing in Madrid. I have also been tutoring history A level to family and friends.
I really enjoy explaining concepts in a way which is understandable. I always try to teach through discussion and by asking questions to help pupils to come to the solution themselves, rather than didactically. My experience as an aupair and teaching assistant has developed my patience and resilience when helping others to learn something new.
I am available weekdays and weekends to assist with History exam preparation (up to A-level) and Maths exam preparation (up to GCSE) and I can also give advice on university applications for humanities subjects.
