Tutoring approach
I have such a varied experience from whole group teaching to one-to-one; from ages 5 to 7, 16-18, and then on to 19+. I have taught entirely online and have taught my 10-12 year old son, while he was being educated at home. I have taught those with special educational needs, including autism.
My broad experience has meant that I have developed an individually tailored approach, based on the needs of the student. With my own child's negative school experience, I am keenly aware that the school system does not work for everyone, and there are those of us who require a different approach.
Professional experience
I have 1 year's experience tutoring family learning classes centred around phonics, reading skills, and number lines etc. I then went on to teach Business Administration, Customer Services, and Equality and Diversity courses at Level 2 over an online platform, for 2 years. For the last year, I have been teaching Level 2 Functional Skills Maths and English for a local college.
