As all individuals have different preferences of how they like to learn I think it is important to adapt to the students needs to find a method that will help them to understand the subject. For example some students may want to try and explain there understanding of a problem/subject, in which case I can provide whatever guidance is needed, whilst others may need talking through tasks and problems step-by-step. I am happy to work in whatever manner the student wants.
In the case the student does not know how they would prefer to proceed I would provide short example questions that we could use to gauge the students current knowledge and their response to that would guide how we progressed.
Professional experience
I've worked as a part-time university lecturer, teaching physiology and biomechanics, for the last two years. I also have undergraduate (BSc; graduated with a 1st) and postgraduate degrees (MSc; pass with distinction) in Sports science and have recently submitted my PhD thesis for assessment.
