I am an experienced and enthusiastic English tutor, and I am dedicated to helping all my students get the best possible grades in their GCSEs and A Levels. I have a BA in English Literature, and I am currently studying for an MA. My educational experience has exposed me to a wide range of literary genres and periods, and I am therefore able to understand and teach material across different curricula and exam boards.
To do well in English exams, pupils need to engage with the set texts and truly understand them. Unlike with Maths or Science, there is no single correct answer which can be memorised and regurgitated in the exam. Consequently, my approach is to find ways of getting pupils to enjoy the subject and engage with texts and ideas: something which there is not always time for at school in a classroom environment.

I have been tutoring both online and in person for three years. I also volunteered at an inner-city secondary school for a year.
