Tutoring approach

I often begin by asking how the student would want me to facilitate their learning and then proceed in a systematic manner. For instance, I often create timetabled subject charts and work through the content depending on the exam board, progressing through number, algebra, statistics etc. I always factor in time for weak areas that require more attention and exam paper practise at the end.
Furthermore, I gladly offer contact time during non-tuition hours to help with questions/past-paper problems.

However, as aforementioned, I take the approach best suited to the student.

 

Professional experience

2012-2014: I started up and ran a tuition centre:
I tutored GCSE Maths at foundation and higher level.

2012- current: Personal Tutor
This included GCSE Maths tuition. This low ability student (set 5 out 6) attained a grade B at the end of year 11.

2012 - 2013: Maths, English and Science tutor at Clive's Tutorials

This also consisted of GCSE Maths tuition at foundation and higher level.
