I like to first establish a positive rapport with the student. This involves me listening to him/her, getting to understand why he/she wants to learn the subject and how he/she best learns. I take a logical, step by step approach and try to make the subject matter come alive by relating it to the student's own experience.

2002-2014 maths, English and social & life skills with adult offenders in a custodial setting
1998-2001 maths and English (Caribbean Examinations Council) with teenagers in Belize, Central America
1994-1998 independent living skills and literacy & numeracy to people with learning difficulties.
