The key to a successful tutoring session is to prepare well beforehand. I will will make sure to know exactly what you need to work on, and will always come prepared with the best way to explain the topics you need help with in a quick and efficient way. We will also go through exam technique, which will make a big difference to your final marks.
Professional experience
I have been tutoring Maths and Engineering part time since starting at university. I worked in structured finance for 2 years after graduating in Engineering before launching a technology start-up. These are both jobs that use lots of applied maths, so I can help students understand the long term importance of what they are learning. I got an A* in Maths at GCSE, A in Maths and Further Maths at A-levels (equivalent to A* under the current grading system), and Merit in STEP II and III. At university, I achieved a 2:1 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College and a Distinction in my MSc at Durham.
