I believe in engaging my students by implementing interactive techniques such as videos, images, pop-up quizzes, worksheets and past exam papers. As for GCSE Biology and Chemistry, students require practice in developing application while answering questions on their exam papers. This requires regular practice and understanding of concepts in the framed syllabus that is provided. Hence, I seek out questions from the past papers pertaining to the topic being taught and give out these questions to the student for answering. As for IB Biology and Psychology, students are on a much higher level with respect to application and research. It typically involves being acquainted with the pattern and style of application, which can achieved by building a strong base of concepts and practicing various questions pertaining to a single topic on a much deeper level compared to GCSE. Moreover, HL subjects require a stronger understanding of everything, so I believe in asking my students to research a bit more regarding the topic that I will teach.
