Tutoring approach

I have an outgoing personality and enjoy working with children having travelled to India in July 2014 to work at a school for orphaned children for a fortnight and decided on a career in teaching. I believe that children should be encouraged to work independently with their teacher or tutor as a guide as they become more thoughtful learners and develop skills to progress further on their own. It is the efforts of the teacher that enhance these learning styles and techniques, giving children the confidence to believe in their own ability.

 

Professional experience

I am moving from my family home in Milton Keynes to study Primary Education in Liverpool at John Moores university and would like the opportunity to gain experience tutoring children to aid me on the course and ultimately begin achieving my main goals, helping children in their education, from the get go. Ideally, this job will ensure I am still able to travel home out of term time to live with my family so really is the best option for me! I have experience in a classroom environment prior to commencing my studies within a primary school in my local area. I also have 12 GCSE's A* - B and 3 A- Levels including an A in Mathematics Statistics.
