My style of teaching evolves around creating differentiated lesson plans, employing active learning techniques to support small groups and individuals in order to motivate them and ensure progression. More recently I have supported degree students in their studies.
In addition to this I have a strong academic background; having earned a first class hon. Degree in Physiology and a PhD. During my PhD I worked as a demonstrator facilitating and delivering laboratory practicals for up to 90 undergraduate students.
Professional experience
Science teacher in secondary schools for 15 years. I have taught biology to pupils of various abilities at key stage 3, 4 and 5. In addition I have taught chemistry at key stage 3 and 4 and both physics and maths at key stage 3.
