Tutoring approach
I find my tutoring approach differs depending on the pupil I am helping. Therefore I like to work one-on-one or with small groups. I will always provide resources such as past papers, revision styles and diagrams and/or sheet music to assist singing lessons. Moreover, I will devise exercises and games to quiz knowledge. I know how easy it is to be overwhelmed by exam preparation so I like to approach tutoring in a friendly manner to make my pupils feel at ease. I find pupils who are more at ease will have a more positive frame of mind and want to approach their lessons with an "I can" attitude rather than "I can't". This tends to produce better results in the vast majority of pupils. My main aim is for every student to truly maximise their potential and to help them succeed in this.
Professional experience
I have tutored people in singing for auditions, performances and to generally improve their vocal technique on and off for the last few years.
I tutored pupils with their English and History studies up to A2 level whilst at school to help me in my aims to become a teacher when I graduate. I hope to complete a Postgraduate degree in Primary Education, so I have also regularly helped primary pupils with their Maths and English abilities.
