I like to be methodical and go through topics of weakness in a structured way. So we can either set a plan to go through topics within a given period of time, or you can come to me with specific topics/questions and I will help you with them.
I have worked with students of varying ability- people aiming for a grade C upto those aiming for 100%. I can tailor the questions to suit your needs. I don't believe in going through a text book, page by page, because often the question you get stuck on, only comes up a couple of times in the book. So I like to add my questions, tailored to what the student finds difficult.
Professional experience
When it comes to maths, it's something I've taught even while learning myself. I ran an A level and GCSE support class while I was doing my own A levels and I do some voluntary teaching in the summer when i'm not studying dentistry. I largely taught myself maths, so I know where common problems arise, such as when decimals are involved, or fractions. Let me put it this way - I know what makes a maths question hard - so you can be assured that I will have you well prepared for your exams!
